I am writing from the outskirts of Southern Philadelphia, where I have been holed up for the last 3 months or so. Hopefully all this work will pay off and my show in May will be totally totalled.
In the meantime I have a book in this show at the completely legit and entirely respectable Athenaeum of Philadelphia.
The show is called Enchanting Simplicity: Children's Book Illustration Past & Present and should be interesting.
Someone else wrote this:
Although the Athenaeum does not have a children’s lending library, there is considerable evidence that Athenaeum librarians and members collected important examples of children’s books, both illustrated and plain text. This exhibition brings together the Athenaeum legacy collection of children’s books, including a large donation from the Koblenzer Family, among others. Combined with the legacy collection will be examples of contemporary work in children’s illustration.
Someone else drew this:

Anyway - the opening is this Friday - come say hey and make me feel less nervous and awkward as I try to pawn $25 books off on rich people who probably eat the name brand cheerios everyday.
